Kelly Wearstler's "HUE"

Alright - I just made the purchase on Amazon (freakin finally!!!) - so the book should be in my posession shortly. Any thoughts or insight on this book? Would love to hear!

My bedroom want part Two.

Ok... remember how I showed you this credenza from Room Service as the inspiration for my bedroom.... Well, its $1800. So - its way out of my budget. THEN.... I came across this beauty on ebay - totally in my price range at $295 BUT... the freight charge is so out of this world its bringing the total way up!! Like way.... way.... up!! So the search continues.

An Art-y idea!

I thought this was such a great idea. Take something you really love, a letter, envelope, photograph, a ticket stub... anything - and take it to a printing place like kinkos and have them blow it up for you to hang as art. Brilliant.

True Blue Baby I Love You

What beautifully upholstered chairs. And those blue hydrangeas are so happy. This is a very chic and pulled together look.

Branch-y floral arrangements

Love this look of branches thrown in a large vase... Especially in a room with tall ceilings!! Good stuff and so simple to put together on your own! Gotta love that.

This is SCREAMING Glamour!

I would love to get ready at this chic and over the top glamorous vanity! Bisazza tiling and a lucite/glass x-stand table! How could you not feel pretty sitting here?!

New York City..... Here I Come!!

So... I am going to New York in a few days, and I'd love to hit up some great spots. If you have any suggestions for great vintage furniture shops or any places in general - please do pass it on!!

Thanks so much!

Floating Nightstands

Unsure about nightstands for your bedroom? I think these floating ones are such a nifty idea.

Taking it back to the old SKooL.

This picture makes me laugh and smile..... It's Diana Vreeland lounging in her living room designed by Billy Baldwin back in the day (sorry folks - i dont have an exact year). If they were to add 1 more trend in here, I think the room may explode!!!

P.S. Can you spot where Jonathan Adler stole some ideas for his own current collections?

From the personal file... new bedroom inspiration

So.... I thought I wanted to do the whole pale blue walls and white furniture for my bedroom, but I've completely changed my mind. Woops. I am thinking more woodsy.... seventies.... but still classic and warm. So, with that - this image from Room Service is the inspiration jumping off point - something like this for a dresser would be amazing. I'm thinking a cream shag rug, with a low long dresser similar to this - with super artsy lamps. Cream bedding with an amazing chevron throw blanket and happy pillows. Oh let the projects begin!

The End Result

Here is the end result. I just got my lamp shades today. What do you think!? Feedback would be great!!

Here is what's on the list.... Some gorgeous, happy Spring-y/Summery shoes!!! See by Chloe - www.bloomingdales.com

Unwind here...

Two totally different spaces serving the exact same purpose.... a spot to kick up your feet.... read magazines... blog... nap.... Well, and they both have dramatic white mirrors too and gorgeous wallpaper.
The person that owns this room must be one really creative and fun person. I just can't imagine a boring person sitting here and reading emails.

Cool people must live in these rooms.

Right now I have a ton of pics saved on my computer of really cool rooms, that have amazing layering, texture... all with that bohemian vibe, livable yet really cool and interesting feel. I just imagine really creative people residing in these spaces.
This one above is from Lonny Magazine. I love the coffee table, the lucite chairs, the zebra benches, the bikini clad painting - it just all works!

The image above is from Metropolitan Home. The chair and flokati rug are amazing - but its that piece of art with that floral arrangement that caught my eye.
The image above is from Gorgeous Shiny Things, and I just love the color story here. That chair is awesome. I am not a huge fan of starbursts - but this one is pretty amazing.

A Brilliant Concept - The Drybar!

This is such a brilliant idea - I had to post it... I don't know about you but one of my favorite indulges is to have my hair blown out. Well - if you live in LA - you must go here. It's call The Drybar, and its in Brentwood Gardens. It's a salon geared ONLY for hair blow outs!! AND the best part is the price. It's $35 for an amazing blow dry. I can't wait to check this place out. www.thedrybar.com

Hints of Turquoise

So, all of these picture have been saved on a file on my desktop and all had the same thing in common - some where or other, turquoise was involved! Love that!

The Real World

I usually don't talk much on my blog about my personal life... this truly is just a diary of my loves in fashion... interior design.... anything! But I absolutely love my job and thought I'd share this with you. I run a wholesale sales team for a juniors clothing company. Basically --- we design for Forever 21, Nordstrom Brass Plum, Von Maur, Charlotte Russe....(that's just to name a few) and it's so fun! I use to work in premium denim and absolutely hated it! Can we say TEARS on a daily basis?!? Anyway - I am absolutely crazy about my job and love every second of it. So - here are some test shots from the pre-photo shoot we had today....

Gold Bamboo...again!

Check these pretties out. Just got them yesterday. Please excuse the ugly picture on the right - that's what came inside the frame. Right now - I am debating - I have a vintage Suzani that I got at a flea market several months back and possibly thinking of cutting it in half and framing the two sides in these frames.... I am completely on the fence. Anyway - I heart them and was so glad to take them home with me.
