I am seeing lots of curtains and Roman shades with bordering trims of grosgrain ribbon. I am really liking it, and you can really specialize it, either by the color of the ribbon or the curtain itself, or you can get a little more bold and use patterned fabrics. It's fun and adds detail to the curtains that are sophisticated and budget friendly.
You could do it as simple as finding curtains at Bed, Beth and Beyond, and then finding a grosgrain ribbon that is the correct width in the color of your choice and have your tailor sew it on for you. Very, very easy!
