Really like the use of scale and sizing in this room.  It's off beat and it works!  Image via Decorpad

3.  Floor Lamp - Home Decorators - $159
4.  Sunburst Mirror - Ballard Designs - $149
5.  Gold Bamboo Table - Mermaid Hut - $249
6.  Pillows - World Market - $19.99

A really cool person lives here.

When I see images of people's homes I always wonder who lives there and what do they do the second they walk in the front door and what do they do in their spare time? Do they take their shoes off? (That's what I do!). Or, do they change clothes and put on something comfy, or make a snack As for their spare time... do they work out, read, go to flea markets, see plays? I am being nosey. oh well.

For this room.... the couple that lives here must be pretty bad *ss with such great style. OR their interior designer is!

From the personal file...........

This room belonging to Ruthie Sommers has been a favorite of mine since it was published in Domino Magazine years ago. I love the mix of jewel tons with lucite and gold, whimsy, boho, and classic all rolled in to one! Love!

Ruthie Sommer's Inspiration

I know we have all seen this image a thousand times.... but, I am thinking of finding a similar fabric to cover my high back pair of chairs... I know, I know.... I am so indecisive, but I have finally figured out the color issue in my living room and I am quite pleased. I have chosen jewel tones and its going to be stunning.
Here is the same pic I keep putting up of my high back chairs. I want them recovered in rasperry tones, and Ruthie's image above completely has inspired me.

I HEART SETTEES

I would love a settee in a gorgeous and rich fabric. I probably would never sit on it, but use it more for aesthetic purposes. I mean, they don't look the most comfortable. But, they sure are fancy pants - and I love that! Amie Corley, designer. I love this entire look. The settee with the modern acrylic coffee table, the flukati rug, the lighting sculpture. Brilliant!
Domino Magazine. I have always loved this room. So chic.

From the Personal File

Just saw this image at Belle Vivir and had to post it and add it to my personal file! I would love a settee. I love how the ikat fabric totally modernized this and freshened it up, and of course the chrome garden stool. Bravo!
