John Willey Does a Home Good.

Just found an amazing interior designer that I hadn't heard of.... John Willey and he's super talented.  He mixes different styles and eras, and layers multiple patterns and textures and it all works seamlessly.

Here are a few of his designs from his website:

Design Crush: Waterleaf Interiors

Jill Johnson and Suzanne Ascher make the amazing team behind Waterleaf Interiors - and they have some serious style. They are a design duo that really give off the California Charm in home decor.  Waterleaf also has a retail store in the heart of Manhattan Beach that sells vintage items, accessories, furniture, and custom upholstered pieces.    Check out their site HERE

How amazing is that turquoise wicker chair?!?

I absolutely love that dresser. Like, I want it - with the chair of course!

The mixing of patterns and colors in this bedroom is dreamy.  Big fan of this room!

Oh Sugar, Sugar, Oh Honey, Honey...

If you are an LA girl - you must get your hands on the Crave Los Angeles book.  It's such a great resource of wonderful women doing wonderful things in Southern California.
While reading Crave - I came across Tamara Kaye-Honey, owner of House of Honey, a home furnishings and interior design store in Pasadena.  I want to be friends with Mrs. Honey.  Originally from Nova Scotia, and then NY - she made her way to Cali with her husband and two kids (doesn't she look like she's 18?!)  Anyway -- her style is insane - and I really want her to come over to my house and give me a tutorial or two!  PS - she use to be a buyer for Bergdorf's - so you know she's got the whole style thing down pat!

Below is her store front of House of Honey.  Too cute!! Next time I'm in Pasadena, I am definitely taking a peak!  I know... I know... don't judge a book by its cover - lets toss that rule aside - because this place looks amazing on the outside - the inside must be insane!
Inside the store... Looking good.

This bedroom was designed by Tamara.

This living room was also designed by Tamara.  This is what I would call mid-century perfection.

Every room needs a show stopper. See Kishani Perera

Looking through all of these images of room designed by Interior Designer Kishani Perera made me find the one thing all of these rooms have in common. That common factor is each room has at least one serious show stopper... converation piece, and she does an amazing job at putting all of these rooms together which so much style.

Kishani Perera is an LA girl (yay!) with a New York office.  She has designed homes for Molly Sims, Josh Duhamel, Vanessa Marcil and more.  She has quite a fabulous and impressive resume.
Above is model, Molly Sims' office. (PS- saw her last night at Dan Tana's) anyway... show stopper would be the loud pillows, fantastic dress form and that chic chandelier.
Show Stopper - wicker cage chair.  Unreal.

Show stopper - chandelier and the bone in lay furniture. Chic. Chic. Chic.

Show stopper - Moroccan Wedding Blanket.

Show stopper - the entire coat rag hanging system!!! WOW!

Show stopper - the large peacock inspired mirror (which can now be found at Pier1

From the personal file.... and a new designer crush

I came across an Interior Designer I had never heard of before over at the blog: Full House. Her name is Kristen Hutchins and she is amazzzing, and has a serious amount of style. Big fan!! Here is just one room that she designed which is absolutely stunning. She gained a lot of trainng from being a Senior Designer with Kelly Wearstler. Pretty impressive if you ask me.
- Love the fabric on the pair of matching benches underneath the parson desk, and the mirror hanging above is perfect.
I wish the furniture here was placed closer together, to have a more intimate feel, but I do love all of the elements. Its absolutely gorgeous and well thought out.

As many of you guys know... I love interior design coffee table books, so I am extremely excited to purchase the Mary McDonald book, "Interiors: The Allure of Style" which will be based solely on all of her projects.

If you aren't familiar with Mary, check out her site. She has amazing style that is elegant yet whimsicaly and fun. She is a Southern Cal girl who makes design look like art.

Here are a few favorites of mine...

Amazing color combination.

Love the flooring here.

The zig zag wallpaper is fantastic.

I would love a chaise lounge in my bathroom.
