Nail Heads add Glam.

Everywhere I look, I see more and more creative ways to use nail heads. Now, the traditional way of using them is on borders of chairs and arms of sofas, but now its coming up in unexpected places. They are on wood furniture creating patterns (see the console below from Venfield @ 1stDibs) and even showing up on walls, adding texture to wallpapers and paint. It's awesome and original, creative and personal.

Interior Design company - Diamond Baratta has a fantastic book "Diamond Baratta Design" by William Diamond and Anthony Baratta. This book has excellent ideas for using nail heads. Making it not so prim and proper, but more Glam and chic.

Putting nail heads on furniture is not that difficult. If you want to add a beautiful pattern to a piece of wood furniture you already have here is what to do: Go to your local upholstery fabric store and pick up a box of nail heads (they cost approximately 5 to 8 cents each head). The nail heads come in different shapes, sizes, and colors, so you have lots of options. Then take a pencil and draw out the pattern that you want your nail heads to follow. Gently hammer in each nail head with the specific amount of measured space you want between them, or line them up side by side. And there you have it! Super easy.
