Big Box Stores?!

I'll be honest - I am not a fan of the "big-box shops." Ya know, Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, CB2, Pier 1... etc.... I prefer going to antique and vintage shops, estate sales, and flea markets. The type of places where you get one-of-a-kind pieces that you will enjoy for ever. Pieces only you will have!

But, I always do check the Big-Boxers and see what they have out there. To see if anything felt special/original. And to my surprise, there were some great pieces that I wanted to share. I don't like a room that is head-to-toe "Pottery Barn" but throwing in a piece or two will work just fine, and with these pieces - you can't exactly tell that they are from a chain store. SCORE!

CB2 - peakaboo nesting tables - www.cb2.com Lucite is really popular right now, and these would be great in any setting - whether it be modern, or a more classic room that needed some edge to it.

Hong Kong Bird Cage Lantern www.urbanoutfitters.com I adore this. This would be darling hanging in the corner of a bedroom, or in a large kitchen.

Antoinette Fainting Couch - www.urbanoutfitters.com This is amazing! It also comes in other prints and solids. It is so glam and chic, it looks like it came from the greatest Antique shop in the world.

Coral Lamp from www.pier1.com This lamp looks very rich. I have seen a lot of coral-like lamps just like this one, but nobody can beat this price! It's a good one.
