On my mind...

My parents were in town this whole week visiting from Miami and it was so nice to have them here. I don't know if I have ever mentioned... I am originally from Miami, FL. Anyway, they stay at a hotel around the corner from my apartment so its so easy.. But, now since they have left, I miss them. I just love that feeling of knowing they are near by. We had such a great time. Yes, I am 28 years old and I still get homesick.

I need a serious vacation. I am not talking about a 2 day event, and getting out of town. I need a week of doing absolutely whatever it is I want. Actually I need a little more than a week. Probably 3 days at home to do the things I need to get done.... and then once that is squared away.... get the F out of dodge.... Part of me would love to go to Bora Bora and sit on a beach and zone out, and then part of me wants to do the whole Africa/Safari adventure. Beggers can't be choosers -- I'd go to either.

Anyway.... my bathroom is not in the greatest shape, I am even too embarrassed to put a picture of it up. To be honest .... I don't get it. I live in a huge apartment in a fantastic neighborhood. Its an old building with only 6 units - lots of walk in closets, a foyer, separate dining room, large bay window in the living room - but the kitchen and bathroom -- WTF!! They just recently ripped out the nasty flooring in my kitchen and replaced with hardwood - which helped a lot, but now its time to find a bomb and explode my bathroom. But - in the meantime I am considering painting the walls a pretty charcoal and then doing this shower curtain below from Urban Outfitters with white and grey towels and rug and just keep it plain and clean.
