14 Days of Romance: Get primped for your date (Cali Style): Day 13

I don't know about you - but, I am a HUGE fan of getting my hair blown out.  Everything just looks better when you have a great hair day.  So.... for this Valentine's Day - if you live in the Los Angeles area - do I have a fab tip for you.

Primp your self at one of these fabulous "blow out only" salons - where you can chose from different blow out options (bed head, slick straight, etc) and look amazing on your Valentine's date!

The Dry Bar is a great option with 5 locations (Brentwood, West Hollywood, Studio City, Pacific Palisades, and Dallas, TX - and coming soon: Newport Beach, CA and Scottsdale, AZ).  They have different options of blowouts - and at $35.  They do a fab job!!

My Blow LA is a great spot - and all blow outs are $35.  They are located in Beverly Hills.

What's your beauty ritual?

So, I've had the same make-up routine for a really long time (lets go with YEARS!!).  I would basically just go to Sephora and fill in on my tinted moisturizer, nars bronzer and blush and not even think of new products.

FINALLY - I got a whole new thing goin' and I am really liking what I got.  I am not a HUGE make-up junkie, so these few products are perfect for me!

Tell me - what products can you NOT live without!

Diorskin - Nude skin perfecting concealer. This stuff is great, I use it with a brush to apply.  It works, and is great for under eye concealing.

Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer - Oil free.  This stuff is way good, and you can layer it if you need more coverage.
Makeup For Ever - their lip glosses have a fantastic range of color!!!

Smashbox - Fusion Soft Lights.  This bronzer is sooo pretty.  ONLY downfall is that I have had the bronzer for only a week and already there is a chunk missing out of the center, like it looks like this may be an easy crumbler (which will totally bother me!)

Tip: Keep your cosmetics up to date!

Beauty products do have a shelf life** that isn't always stated directly on the packaging.  To help you out - put a sticker with the date written on it of when the product was first opened.
If it starts getting gunky looking, you will know if its time to buy a new one.

**FYI - Expired beauty products can leave to nasty bacterias, infections, and breakouts.

This shocking pink front door REALLY makes me smile!!

Make sure to visit Sephora to purchase the Korres Quince Body Butter. Through the entire month of October, Korres will be donating 5% of all sales from this product to the Breast Cancer coalition.

3 Things I can't live without....

There are three things in my bathroom that will be staples forever:

1. Moroccan Hair Oil - every person I have told about this, has purchased it, and raved about it! It's an keratin hair oil that you put on your hair while its wet, before styling. It makes your hair SO soft and not at all greasy. Get it here.
2. La Mer Daily Moisturizer - my best friend turned me on to this moisturizer, and now I am hooked. I use it only at night as it doesn't have SPF. I am convinced it has changed the texture of my skin.
3. The Dove Beauty Bar - not much to say here but everyone uses, and its fantastic.

Ok... that sounds weird, but you know what I mean. Anyway - she just launched a fragrance. kinda random, kinda cool. Launched at Harrods (its a London thing), so I'll wait to check it out when it is stateside!
