14 Days of Romance: A Zen Experience: Day 8

Wouldn't it be absolutely amazing to lounge around in one of these zen-like spaces with a sexy cute guy for one incredible romantic evening?

I definitely think so.

Pick your jaw up off of the floor

I just saw this over at House of Turquoise and did a gazillion-take.
UNREAL.  I now want a french style bench just like that with gorgeous white silk fabric and blue trim.
AND then there is the wallpaper.
I could see my mom falling in love with this.

Glamour-ize your stripes!

I love this striped, glamorous tiled wall. What a chic bathroom.

Relax and unwind here.

If only I had this tub on Friday after work... How cool is that shade that goes all the way down to give full privacy? I've never seen anything like this before (just don't light a candle and snooze for a little bit... jk).

Pops of Yellow

One would think that these three rooms would all belong to the same home... but they don't. Anyway - each room is so happy and reminds me of sunshine! Image via Country Home (above). I love how it has that bright yellow bed skirt that totally mimics the coffee table at the foot of the bed. Also - cool idea to have a coffee table at the end of the bed... serves like a bench.

This is SCREAMING Glamour!

I would love to get ready at this chic and over the top glamorous vanity! Bisazza tiling and a lucite/glass x-stand table! How could you not feel pretty sitting here?!

Printed Towels.

I have super plush and soft white towels in my bathroom (I'm not talking about the decorative ones that hang on the bar -- I mean, the everyday ones) and there is a part of me that wishes that I had a fun print. I know I'd never commit, and they aren't really practical.... but I thought these were so pretty. What do you have in yours? above - www.linensnthings.com

Mirror on top of mirror.

Can I please get ready here every day? I don't need a huge extravagant bathroom. Just a lush and beautiful space like this would be perfect! So clean, not over the top , and just the perfect amount of glam with that venetian mirror on top of the regular mirror and that beautiful lamp shaded sconce.

The Straight Fitted Table Skirt

I HATE Pedestal sinks. I think they are pointless and waste of space. They especially are a total burn if you live in an apartment with only one bathroom - meaning you lose a great storage space. So - on that note - look at this amazing fix below. This bathroom's pedestal sink has been outfitted with a gorgeous zebra print fabric. It looks super sleek and clean - and there's ample amount of space to store all of your bathroom needs.
Now, the picture below is from the blog, Little Green Notebook - and its a straight fitted table cloth for a square table. It's got the same look as above and I love it! Very creative.

From the Personal File!

I think that if I had a powder room (or if I didn't rent my apartment) I would do something extremely similar to this image for my bathroom. I love EVERYTHING about it and wouldn't change a thing!
1. I absolutely love this wallpaper. I like that it has a white background to it, yet its floral and feels a little chinois.
2. The white mirror. Oh, if I could change the mirror in my bathroom!! I'd be one happy girl.
3. The monogrammed hand towels.
4. I would probably get rid of the pedestal sink though. As much as they are visually pretty - they are the worst for storage... as they don't provide any.
5. I do like that hand soap! Fancy! Molton Brown. Loverly.

Black and White with a Splash of Hot Pink

I saw this bathroom and thought it was just so cute and happy! It's fun yet sophisticated. That wallpaper is such a great pairing with the white molded tub and the black granite counter tops.

A Gorgeous Vanity

This vanity was featured in Traditional Homes Magazine. How gorgeous is this? Love it!

From the Personal File....

Yes, I do want to have the most glamorous and fancy-pants bathroom ever, but for some reason, this bathroom keeps calling to me. I love how symmetrical it is and instead of having 1 large curtain able to go around the whole tub, these divided double panels are so much more dramatic. I also love that tub. What's also cool about this bathroom is that if you start to get bored with the fabric, you can always switch it, to give it a whole new look.

Ornate Powder Room Mirrors

I'll be honest, I live in a beautiful apartment, I live in an older building on a gorgeous street - hardwood floors, high ceilings, french doors and a huge bay window in my living room (I swear I'll get pics up eventually, its a really special apartment!!) BUT there is a problem - the mirror in my bathroom kind of sucks. Actually, my bathroom isn't great. I mean, its clean and a nice size, but my pretty towels and accessories didn't really help much. But.. I rent my apartment, so I am not about to install a new mirror, but I wish I could. So, I started day dreaming of what I would like to change it to - and here is what I came up with. via http://www.thepeakofchic.blogspot.com/ -- This may be a little to grand, but I love it!

via Veranda Magazine. Lovely love love!

via http://www.simplygrove.blogspot.com/ - This mirror is the perfect scale for this vanity. I love the bold pop of color

A Functional and Brilliant Accessory for the Bathroom

I completely appreciate a clean, white bathroom with clean accessories. It's classic, always feels fresh, and will always be in on point with style. But, it never hurts to add a punch. I absolutely love this ottoman. It's beautiful with its Moroccan pattern and bold black fabric yet adds a bold touch and is still extremely functional. I dig it!

Inspiration Sunday...

I've been doing a lot of at-home spa treatments lately. Ya know... face masks, hair treatments... So, I thought I'd show a couple of my favorite Home-Spa-Retreats. A.K.A - The Bathroom.
Enjoy!

So Glamour! I love how girly this is. I really do love the baroque mirror and the antique side chair.
Not really a lover of pedestal sinks, but I love how this bathroom felt like a real room, not just a bathroom.

Love the wainscotting and yellow and white wall paper.

It's a little more country french than I personally like, but its warm and I love the dressed up feel of the chandelier. I bet at night the chandelier alone would be such a wonderful accent to a long bath.

Sara Baldwin Tiles - Part II

Ok, So I know I blogged yesterday about Sara Baldwin's Tile - and my euphoric dream of an unbelievable bathroom.... my own personal spa, but I didn't really show enough - I just showed one example -- Sara Baldwin's company designs the most stunning tiles I think I have ever seen. (Sorry Bisazza....) So, Thank you to Sara Baldwin's blog - where I took these images from.

Check out her site http://www.sarabaldwindesign.com/ I am sort of obsessed with these tiles.

So cheery and summery. How could you ever have a gloomy day with these tiles around?

Very cool grays.

Tortoise Shell lovely!

How unbelievably amazing would these black and white tiles be as the backdrop for a super-fabulous kitchen that has lots of hi-tech stainless steel appliances.

Lush green.

How fluid is this? It reminds me of the ocean.
