A beautiful work space in the bedroom.

Sometimes space doesn't permit a separate home office space.
Here is a beautiful, elegant, and fun way to make it work in your bedroom.
(Tip: Keep the papers and supplies in the drawers.)

From the personal file.... A gorgeous living room.

Bright, happy, cozy, intimate.
Loving this living room for so many reasons.
The chandelier is insane, the turquoise and white chairs are awesome,
and I love the wall color with the beautiful molding and huge windows.

From the personal file: THE perfect bench.

I am in Love, Love, Love, Love, Love, Love!!!
This is fantastic - and I need two.  Pronto.
Wow.  Designed by Nate Berkus for HSN.

Color combo: Grey, White, and Gold!

My absolute favorite color combination is grey + white + gold.  The gold is a bit unexpected, and it really makes a beautiful statement.  It is the perfect play on neutrals.

(I'ts also the combo for my bedroom and foyer - pics to come!)

This image here is the actual inspiration pic I've been using for my bedroom.

Absolutely love the gold hardware.  Image via Decorpad

Pick your jaw up off of the floor

I just saw this over at House of Turquoise and did a gazillion-take.
UNREAL.  I now want a french style bench just like that with gorgeous white silk fabric and blue trim.
AND then there is the wallpaper.
I could see my mom falling in love with this.

To paint or not to paint? That is the question.

Ok folks.... I'd love your input:
This is my etagere.  But then I saw the image below over at my fabulous friend Nancy's blog (Marcus Design) and now I am thinking - I should paint my etagere white.

What do you think?  Leave it as is?  OR Paint it?

Please excuse the crappy photo

Putting my living room together - need feedback!

Well, I FINALLY painted my living room last weekend!! It took forever - but I am pleased with the results. I think I went to Sherwin Williams 4 times and Home Depot twice. awesome.

Now - these pics are a bit messy... but I wanted your opinion!

What do you think?
There is no better critiquing than from those who follow blogs - so keep me posted!
(constructive and positive is always appreciated)

WARNING: You will be seeing pics of this space a lot while I'm putting it all together and needing input!

It would be so fun to warm up here.

Combine Boho - chic - glamour with a beautiful collection and this is what you get for a mantle. It really is gorgeous and I love that rug and the pops of color through the fabrics against the neutrals.

Guess what happens when....

you get lost in my neighborhood** and end up driving down an alley to avoid making an illegal u-turn in front of a cop? You find a pair (yes there is another one) of awesome grey colored class lamps begging to be cleaned up and taken home. These will be perfect for the bedroom! :)

** and yes, for the record, I do get lost quite frequently, and it does seem to happen in my own neighborhood from time to time.

Drama Glam and Grey all over!

This room isn't my personal taste, but I do really like it. That venetian mirror paired with those dramatic lamps with those black shades - so chic. I would looove to see the rest of this space.

My style is changing

It's interesting, my style is changing. And I am noticing it. A LOT. Lately I have been drawn to the weirdest and strangest pieces. Majority of the new attractions have been super antique/classic styles that have been majorly vamped with modern twists. I've been into more modern styles lately too, some straighter styles. Art that I didn't understand before - I am now starting to appreciate, and this bedroom below sums it up perfectly.

From the Personal File....

I have this actual page ripped out from a magazine from a few years ago, and I still love that glamorous yet masculine feel to the room. It's got the lush bedding, those black shades on the lamp, the tilted gold mirrors. Pretty insanely gorgeous if you ask me!

A Beautiful and Serene Bedroom

This bedroom was designed by Shamir Shaw and it is so relaxing. There isn't much fuss to it, but it isn't sparse. It's comfortable and the color palette is very soothing. I love the organic inspired mirror above the headboard. It breaks up the symmetry. Lovely head board too!
