3 Upholstered Headboards, 3 Different Ways

I am a huge fan of the upholstered headboard.
So - check out these three stunners, all different spins on fabulousness!

I am really into kelly green and white.  Such a gorgeous combo. Obviously I am jocking that bamboo side table - but in general I love this preppy vibe with the matching kelly green bed skirt.
Chic + Happy + Prepster =  Loving it!

Love this bedroom from Lonny.  The printed headboard paired with the beautiful draperies and purple lamps is truly a stunner.  I loooove this whole look, its really put together well!

This bedroom was designed by Suzanne Kasler - chic, gorgeous, lovely, soft, dreamy!

What I jocked in Lonny (The Jan/Feb issue)

I like the new issue of Lonny, but I don't love.
The last issue was just so good to me.
But that's ok, there still were some great spreads, home decor ideas, and more.

Here's what made me do a double take.

Fabulous pendant lighting from Design Within Reach. I'd love to see such an edgy piece in a romantic room - to add some edge.
Fantastic foyer. Cream, gold, and turquoise is always a brilliant way to enter someone's home.

A new bedding collection from Kate Spade will be hitting the floors of Bed Bath and Beyond and Bloomingdales soon. I absolutely love how this bedroom has been styled. Gorgeous and happy!

This kitchen is fab! I would have never thought to pair this wallpaper with that color cabinetry. It's awesome. Double kudos for a bold choice. I love when people think outside of the box.

Lauren by Ralph Lauren also has a new bedding collection coming out - and I love this blue and white combo channeling Antigua. Gorgeous, dreamy, and makes me want to head back out onto vacation!

Cup and saucer by Riko Keneko at Liberty of London. How fun is this!?!? Hello, Valentine?! (total joke if anyone reading this knows my valentine!)

This dining room is my style 100 percent!!! This goes straight to the personal file - for sure!! Always love a round table (or octagon!) bamboo-esque chairs with a geometric pattern, a gold vintage chandelier, and a pair of stunning lamps. Happy!

So - tell me, what did you think of the new issue of Lonny?

Decorative shelving brackets

Ever since coming across this picture in Lonny Magazine,
I haven't been able to stop thinking about using brackets for a fantastic shelving unit or bar set up. I love it.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the bamboo ones
that are pictured below,
but I have found some other great options at Anthropologie and Van Dykes..

Lana Gomez - Art Sensation

So.... this right here is Lana Gomez, one of the artists I went to see at the Brewery Artwalk this past weekend, and of course - her artwork did not disappoint. You may be a little familiar with her as the chick who's art hangs in Kelly Wearstler's office and seen in the KWID "HUE" book. Her art is vibrant, silly, and bold - just like her.Make sure to visit Lana's site - HERE

I had an interesting conversation with Lana a few evenings ago while I watched her paint.  "One of my art teachers told me that with art you always need to create conflict, and some way you have to solve it.  That's what makes it interesting," Lana tells me while she worked on solving the problem of a painting that she covered with zig-zagging black paint.  It was pretty cool to watch!

The painting below was one of the most popular ones at the show.  Excuse the lighting - the light coming in from the window behind did not help!  It's insane in person.
The series below, I believe she is calling Purim. I love the Hot Pink.  Crazy.
Crowds and crowds of people walked in throughout the show.  The response was fantastic.

Above -- she was just featured in the newest issue of Lonny Magazine in Palmer Weiss's home.  You can find a collection of Lana's work on 1st Dibs.

Above -- Kelly Wearstler's office.  Doesn't her art make the whole room?!

Alright guys... I can't keep it in,... LG may or may not be one of my best friends, and she may or may not be my boyfriend's sister....  But lets keep that secret between you and me.  ;)

Hiii-ya! Karate chopping pillows? Do or Don't?

I have no idea how I feel about the whole karate chopped pillow. How did that get started? Who decide to start arm fighting with a pillow to make a crease at the top. Anyway - do you like, or do you prefer to eep your pillow soft without the structure. Opinion please?

A Glamorous Fix Up!

I love this....
This kitchen was featured in Lonny Mag.... a perfect example if you don't want to re-do kitchen cabinets, but want to spruce up your kitchen... Just put up wallpaper, a glitzy chandelier and a white bamboo mirror.

From the Personal File....

My living room sofa is identical to this one... so anytime I see it perfectly featured in a fun room like this.... I have to post! I am loving the colored zebra... This is definitely a future idea when its time to mix things up a bit. LOVE!

Glamorous Organization

I would love to have a space like this for my jewelry and accessories. This feels so glamour to me! But, for me to have it this organized and perfectly displayed I would need a way larger piece of furniture -- and I'd have to get rid of a ton of stuff.

From the Personal File!

I think that if I had a powder room (or if I didn't rent my apartment) I would do something extremely similar to this image for my bathroom. I love EVERYTHING about it and wouldn't change a thing!
1. I absolutely love this wallpaper. I like that it has a white background to it, yet its floral and feels a little chinois.
2. The white mirror. Oh, if I could change the mirror in my bathroom!! I'd be one happy girl.
3. The monogrammed hand towels.
4. I would probably get rid of the pedestal sink though. As much as they are visually pretty - they are the worst for storage... as they don't provide any.
5. I do like that hand soap! Fancy! Molton Brown. Loverly.

I Think We Have Found a Replacement For Domino!

Now, I know we all are still in mourning over the loss of Domino, but I think I've figured out the solution. check out Lonny! I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of this. Don't get me wrong, I love Elle Decor, and House Beautiful.... but, I need something a little more youthful and I am keeping my fingers crossed that Lonny is the trick! www.lonnymag.com
