Vintage Pyrex Collections....

My best friend has the cutest collection of Pyrex vintage containers. She LOVES them and its so much fun being on the hunt with her for new additions. She is extremely meticulous on the pieces she chooses for her collection, as she only picks happy cobalt blues and shades of orange. She uses them all the time, microwave, oven, (or, in her case: Mikey's cereal bowl).

You can find them at flea markets, antique malls, Etsy.com, and Ebay. Happy Hunting!

A Beautiful Shelving Piece

I saw this book shelf on the Michele Varian website, and I loved it. I would love to have a piece like this to display my milk glass collection or my vintage colored glass collection. It's so dramatic. Pretty chic. www.michelevarian.com

I Love Cane Chairs.

I love vintage cane chairs. It brings an element of romance to a room, and I am a big fan. Here are some of my faves: Etsy
Ebay. Obviously this one needs a big clean up with a nice can of spray paint, but I love the shape and the chinois element to it.

A Glorious Outdoor Room

I don't know how this could possibly be a real outdoor room without the majority of the pieces being damaged from weather, but you gotta admit, its pretty amazing! I would love to be here for a Labor Day party with lots of yummy cocktails and great music. Or better yet, maybe just move this room to the indoors so it doesn't get destroyed.

Lulu Guiness's England Home.

Fashion Designer, Lulu Guiness is known for her tongue-in-cheek designs in fashion and accessories with most pieces having a 1950s influence. So, of course her London, England home has that glamorous, feminine feel to it as well. Guiness's home is filled with vintage finds, updated fun fabrics, kooky accessories, and lots of layering.

Macys.com for Lamps?

Who knew the Macy's website would have such great lighting options? I was browsing thru their site looking at plain white dishes when I stumbled across their lighting section. It's really that good. Also, you can always purchase and test it out and if you don't like it - they are so easy with returns.

Here are just a few that I really liked:

Nate Berkus for HSN.com

I just stumbled across the Nate Berkus collection on HSN.com and it really is on point with current home trends at unbelievable prices. It's very clean and true to the Nate Berkus style. It has the clean lines, tufted headboards, ikat, flokati rugs, kilim pillows, and pretty much everything else you've been seeing right now in interior design.

Border Curtains

I am seeing lots of curtains and Roman shades with bordering trims of grosgrain ribbon. I am really liking it, and you can really specialize it, either by the color of the ribbon or the curtain itself, or you can get a little more bold and use patterned fabrics. It's fun and adds detail to the curtains that are sophisticated and budget friendly.

You could do it as simple as finding curtains at Bed, Beth and Beyond, and then finding a grosgrain ribbon that is the correct width in the color of your choice and have your tailor sew it on for you. Very, very easy! www.pbteen.com

From the Personal File...

Here's another one for the personal file. I am absolutely in love with this home-office. Isn't it stunning?

1. That sea-cloth fabric wallpaper combined with the wane-scotting!

2. The chinois, hi-gloss desk. I am absolutely in LOVE. Look at the hardware and the side chinoiserie cut out. Lots of high drama.

3. The chandelier - very fluid and adds an organic touch.

4. The random lamp - the black shade adds some punch with the neat and intricate base.

J. Crew is SO Good

Have you seen the Fall 09 catalog for J. Crew? If you haven't, you must be living under a rock since a million of blogs are doing posts, but I couldn't resist. The styling is unreal. Here were my favorite pages:
