A beautiful work space in the bedroom.

Sometimes space doesn't permit a separate home office space.
Here is a beautiful, elegant, and fun way to make it work in your bedroom.
(Tip: Keep the papers and supplies in the drawers.)

A really cool person lives here.... A fab home office

Exposed brick, straight lines, with mid-century touches.
This definitely is the home office belonging to one very cool person
with a whole lot of style.

Looking for a desk chair.

I am currently on the hunt for a desk chair to go with my white parsons desk.  I want something that is absract, and intriguing to look at. I am thinking either wood grained, or a painted gold vintage-y chair.

I just came across AdvancedInteriorDesign.com and they have some fantastic chairs that are pretty neat.  I wasn't planning on going for a look like these, but now I am starting to find these intriguing.
What do you think of them?

Santa (or mom, dad, best friend, boyfriend...) could perfectly review
your Christmas list right here at this desk!

Turquoise and yellow office... with a dash of Honey.

Tamara-Kaye Honey of House of Honey knows how to design a room and I am a HUGE fan of hers!  I love how she incorporates amazing vintage finds and really know show to work with color palettes.  This is an office she recently designed in S. Pasadena.  It really is a special place.  I can only imagine the creativity that comes out of this office.

Gorgeous!

Dream office.

I'd be delighted to work from this desk!  Jan Showers really knows how to design beautiful spaces.
PS - I need that lamp.

From the personal file, I could get some work done here

This home office is amazing. The desk isn't actually my favorite... but the walls lined with the black shelving, the chair, rug, chandelier, and organization really make this room amazing.
I would get some serious creative work done in here.

Oh my back! Oh my neck!

So --- I don't really get too personal here, so I am going to keep this as basic as possible. I blog in bed or on the sofa in my living room. It's really bad and I think its taking a toll on all different areas of my body.
I basically lay like this or on my back with my comfy pillow and my NAP blanket.
You do know that you are suppose to sit like this:

I'll be honest... I doubt I'll sit perfectly like this... but I think making a station of some sort would be a great start.

So -- now that we have discussed the issue... here are two images that are greatly inspiring me.   I want a clean desk - maybe even something with a drawer to keep my laptop in when I am not using it, the cord, and a few little extras.  When I am not sitting there, I don't want it to look like an office.

And now here are a few options that I am considering:

Ikea Besta Burs desk $249

Ikea Micke desk $79

Overstock.com $185

West Elm Bond Desk $269
Walmart Parsons Desk $49
Ikea Linnarp $149
Target $99.99
Target delano $149
Any suggestions would be awesome!! :) And very much appreciated!

Need input - office/foyer? bad or good idea?

I am thinking about converting my foyer into an office.. but chic and clean.  I just want to do a clean, beautiful desk (or maybe go clean with a parsons) with an X-bench or some amazing seating option and a gorgeous lamp.  All I need is a better place to sit with my laptop so I don't strain my neck and back.  I want it to look like a foyer... so there won't be a cup with pens, or files on top...

Do any of you have a creative office space? My mother turned an elevator closet in her home into a darling computer room.... Lets discuss this idea!!!

I Want A Parson's Desk

I love Parson's tables. Especially for an entry way piece. I do like what I currently have in my foyer, its a gold table with neat animal paw feet. But, I always wish that I could have a clean-lined Parsons desk instead. interior designer: Mark Lund

www.walmart.com $49.99 - if anyone knows anything about this table, please do let me know what the quality of it is... I mean, it is Wal-Mart and it is less than fifty bucks - so the odds are against it. But its super clean looking.... Hmmm....

A Great Looking Desk

I saw this desk at Shanghai Tien and fell in love with it. It's so happy and seems like the type of desk that would be perfect for a small nook to make your home office. and with those small drawers, you truly could stay organized. Place some gorgeous bronze brackets on the top for glass shelving - and it would be good to go!

From the Personal File...

Here's another one for the personal file. I am absolutely in love with this home-office. Isn't it stunning?

1. That sea-cloth fabric wallpaper combined with the wane-scotting!

2. The chinois, hi-gloss desk. I am absolutely in LOVE. Look at the hardware and the side chinoiserie cut out. Lots of high drama.

3. The chandelier - very fluid and adds an organic touch.

4. The random lamp - the black shade adds some punch with the neat and intricate base.
