From the personal file... I AM IN LOVE

I recently came across these images over at Jennifer.Nicole (a fantastic blog if you haven't seen it already!) and I completely fell in love.  This is 100% the look and feel that I want and currntly trying to achieve.  Gorgeous, rich, prints, layers, grey, pops of ikat color... every detail I want. 

Country Chic with an Eclectic Vibe!

 I am  not a huge fan of the country, shabby chic look.  

I appreciate it but personally, it's just not my taste.   

BUT - I do believe there are exceptions to everything and this room would be the exception.  

I think its great how this country styled home has punches of color and wow factors through some really fun accessories.

I just got the Urban Outfitters catalog - and in the boys group - I came across this sweater.

Is that bad?  Do you own anything that might not be loved by your mother?

If I purchase this - this would be it!

A Punch of COLOR Never Hurt Anyone!

 Its amazing how well this room is put together with just the right amount of crazy.  But there sure is a lot going on... the rug, chair, pops of yellow, bamboo nigh stand, the pouf, headboard, screen divider... and it goes on!  I don't know if I could pull off this much layering....

Chinoiserie in Palm Springs....

Here are more pics from my trip last weekend in Palm Springs. Saw a ton of bamboo furniture and Chinoiserie pieces, so if that's what you are looking for - I definitely recommend driving out to the desert.

This picture makes me laugh and smile..... It's Diana Vreeland lounging in her living room designed by Billy Baldwin back in the day (sorry folks - i dont have an exact year). If they were to add 1 more trend in here, I think the room may explode!!!

Lovely Painted Rooms

So I loved all of these rooms, thought they were so pretty and happy. And, the main thing they all had in common was the focal point really being the paint on the walls. They really look great, bold and well put together.
