Ivy & Piper - February Issue - A fantastic read!

I don't love major posts about the new e-shelter mags, because I feel like there are so many other blogs already writing about them  and I completely agree with what they post - BUT - The February issue of Ivy & Piper blue me away.  I read it page by page, and clicked on so many links during the process of reading that I had to share a few favorite pictures with you.

Check out the issue HERE

This store is Green with Envy and is designed by the mastermind: David Hicks.  I am in love with that pink/grey/ivory marble cash wrap.  Un-freaking-real!

This is such a fun dining room - but what really got my attention were those beautiful seat covers.  Absolutely genius if you ask me.

This bedroom is absolutely stunning.  I love how chic and glam it is.  The tonal palette is so calming.  It's also designed by my friend Jamie Herzlinger - and her work is just gorgeous.

I really love this kids room for the re-occurring use of the zig zag pattern.  It's a really smart look, but youthful and playful still.

Traditional with a punch

Just saw these images in House Beautiful.  Love the tradition and classic vibe of this bedroom,
But what I love even more is mixing in the fun dashes of poppy yellow.

The high-gloss yellow dresser is BANANAS!!

This room was designed by Gideon Mendelson.

A really cool person lives here.... A fab home office

Exposed brick, straight lines, with mid-century touches.
This definitely is the home office belonging to one very cool person
with a whole lot of style.

Only cool babies allowed!

Is this one bad ass nursery, or what?!
Interior designer, Nicole Lanteri knows how to make a baby's room cool.

The mix of materials include dashes of: mid century modern with plush and soft textures, black paired with pastels, a hint of animal print, piping, and specific furniture choices.

Another bonus: It would be impossible to get sick of this room, and it will be easy to transform when the baby grows up! Smart thinking.

From the personal file.... A gorgeous living room.

Bright, happy, cozy, intimate.
Loving this living room for so many reasons.
The chandelier is insane, the turquoise and white chairs are awesome,
and I love the wall color with the beautiful molding and huge windows.

Turquoise and yellow office... with a dash of Honey.

Tamara-Kaye Honey of House of Honey knows how to design a room and I am a HUGE fan of hers!  I love how she incorporates amazing vintage finds and really know show to work with color palettes.  This is an office she recently designed in S. Pasadena.  It really is a special place.  I can only imagine the creativity that comes out of this office.

Gorgeous!

A Punch of COLOR Never Hurt Anyone!

Its amazing how well this room is put together with just the right amount of crazy.  But there sure is a lot going on... the rug, chair, pops of yellow, bamboo nigh stand, the pouf, headboard, screen divider... and it goes on!  I don't know if I could pull off this much layering....

what do you think?

Multi-tasking a piece of furniture

I like spaces that read "smart." This bar cart makes the perfect end table/night stand, and then can be transformed to use its bar cart duties when its time to entertain.  It is beautiful and functionable.
Gotta love that!

Pillow Happy?

I think pillows are  so important.  The color, the size, the number of pillows...
So - I found a great source on Etsy! Pillow Happy !  I really like these geometric fuzzy ones!  They are prices from $15-30 each.

Love this yellow one!

A Chic and Glam Brentwood Condo

I love when a home all flows well together - when the color choices and the style of each room compliment each other.  Here is a perfect example of this with this Brentwood, CA condo featured in LATimes.com
Love the color combination of dark wood, yellow, black and white with hits of grey.
Gorgeous mid century pieces
I love the display of all of the different vintage yellow, black and white pitchers.  I really appreciate how well thought out it is.
In love with this bedroom. Like - in love, in love! (maybe lose the "zzzz" pillow.
Love the turquoise subway tiles - it looks really fresh and adds a little zip with all of the yellow.  I also like the garden stool in the shower.  Really good idea.

A really cool person lives here

Whomever sits at this desk on a daily basis and zones out on blogs, bills, journaling whatever - is probably some really cool chic that curses a lot and wheres riding boots year round. She has sick style and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. But... she does have cat which I just noticed -- so now I am thrown for a loop. Whomever she is - I love her lamps and that art is rad.

A glamorous sitting area

I love intimate sitting areas where you can curl up with a good friend and talk for hours. Or even sit with a pile of magazines, your laptop, a drink.. whatever relaxes you. It would feel so glamorous to do it here.

Red, Yellow, Orange Delight

I know this picture has gone around the blog world a thousand times, but every time I see it, I stop and take a moment to check out all of the different variables. Its serious art.
