1 Day and A Serious Make Over

A makeover in one day is seriously impressive.   Check out the One-Day challenge interior designers Pat Healing an Dan Barsanti took on for House Beautiful to make over the living room belonging to Cari Hynes, a homeowner in Westport, Connecticut.
Here (above) is what she started with - a narrow room with lots of windows, hardwood floors, and basic pieces.

After seeing this rug come down - I knew this space was going to be fanstastic.  I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A ROUND ONE OF THESE FOR MY DINING ROOM!!!!  Any suggestions of how to make one - and I'll love you for ever!! :-)
Loving te layering already and the hits are chartreuse and purple coming through.  This room is going to have mad character.
Isn't the final outcome simply BANANAS!?  I think it really came out beautiful!
If only I could complete a project in 1 day!

Only cool babies allowed!

Is this one bad ass nursery, or what?!
Interior designer, Nicole Lanteri knows how to make a baby's room cool.

The mix of materials include dashes of: mid century modern with plush and soft textures, black paired with pastels, a hint of animal print, piping, and specific furniture choices.

Another bonus: It would be impossible to get sick of this room, and it will be easy to transform when the baby grows up! Smart thinking.

The happiest bedroom in all of the land...

Once upon a time a lovely woman's bedroom was photographed and posted on House of Turquoise.  A blogger - The Glam Lamb was in awe and had to repost them.  The end.  :)

Gold poufs - amazing!
Sunburst -- unreal!

Stay tuned for a "Get the Look" version.

Loving the Moroccan Style

This blog definitely shows my love for that boho glam vibe. So of course.... when coming across the fantastic website, From Morocco With Love, of course I had to share it with you. Absolutely darling Moroccon Wedding Blanket inspired pillows. Well priced too at $55 each.

Of course Moroccan wedding blankets are expensive... the top one is $750, and the one below is $550, but then again - it is so much hand work. Gorgeous.

Neat Floor Cushion

Saw this at World Market and thought it was such a great floor cushion/pouf. Its different from all of the leather ones I've been seeing - and the price is great - $39.99. Find it here.
Wouldn't this be great for a teen's bedroom? a dorm? a casual lay around room?

Moroccan Poufs

That boho-glam/Moroccan vibe screams Spring time to me and I love that! I found an amazing resource for some Moroccan poufs and I am really considering grabbing 2 of them for my living room. As much as I love the John Derian leather poufs -- they really aren't in my budget....

http://www.ekenoz.com/moroccan-pouf/ E kenoz has these amazing poufs!! Here are the ones I absolutely love!

Dear Bedroom, I Love You!

This bedroom has so much style and flair, yet its not overly done or complicated. It's glamorous and youthful - yet sophisticated. The pairings of prints and fabrics are amazing. And here's my list for why I love it so much!

1. The wall paper - I am usually not a fan of using wallpaper or paint on just one wall - but this I just adore. It really frames that stunning headboard

2. The entire wall - the wallpaper with the dramatic headboard, being framed by those gorgeous matching lamps.

3. The bedding - I love how the bed skirt and the bolster pillow match - tying it all together, yet it completely off-sets the black and white theme. Then on top of it, adding that punch of color with the coral pillows. It really works quite well. Using a simple white duvet just makes it all pup a little more

4. The use of the closet - Wow! Taking the doors off of the closet and making a beautiful vanity. This is so smart, and such a fantastic idea. The size of that closet is so small anyway - this really takes great advantage of the space. I love the tulip based chair with it. (Cute artwork inside it too!)

5. The end tables!

6. The pouf - adds a great element of whimsy.

Lovely!

ModernDose.com

I was reading Metropolitan Home (June 2009 issue) the other day. I had no idea what an awesome magazine it was. I was under the impression that it was a super-modern, boxy style magazine. I was wrong, I admit.

So, I am reading this magazine and learn about a new website, Modern Dose - http://www.moderndose.com/ Not only is it cool, hip, and on top with the trends, but... the prices (for the most part) are pretty reasonable. Nothing out of this world! So, now we've got - cool, hip, and good price point. What else could this site have? You got it! An eco-friendly section. This site has it all.

The Flora Pouf. Love love love! How dreamy is this pouf? Its such a statement. All I want to do is stare at it.

Set of 3 Attraction Pillows. Too cute! I would love these in a little girl's bedroom.

Dreamy!

This reminds me of Jonathan Adler and how he loves Gnomes. Creepy, but still cute if you are into that sort of thing.
