A glamorous bedroom like this one can require a hefty budget. So... I decided to break this down a bit and make it a little bit more budget friendly. The thing is with rooms like this - going too cheap is going to make the room look that way as well. So, I chose resources such as Custom Sofa Design, Restoration hardware, HSN where they aren't cheap, but yet they are way more down to earth than the original.
Resources:
1. Hotel Collection Bedding - Amazon - $89.99 set
2. Octagon Mirror - Restoration Hardware - $195
3. Chandelier - Gallery 802 - $349
4. Drapery - Drapestyle.com - $479 for the pair
5. Love seat - Custom Sofa Design - $749
6. Rug - CSN Rugs - $281
7. Coffee Table - Nate Berkus for HSN - $279
8. Faux Fur Rug - Keepsakes-Etc. - $139

A girl can dream of Lladro.
When I think of Lladro, I think of feminine figurines, and as beautiful as they are, they really aren't my style. So... flipping through Elle Decor's new December Issue, I noticed the Lladro advertisement and immediately went to their website (which is quite exquisite). I have fallen in love with these three mirrors. Aren't they incredible pieces of art? In the words of Zoe... "I die!"

The budget friendly option for a FAB mirror
Everyone has seen this foyer belonging to Liz Lange (and designed by Jonathan Adler). Its been going around the blog world for ever, it feels like....
Many places did copies of this mirror - and I think one of the best ones was by Pier 1. Well - the Pier 1 version (see below) is now on sale!
Pier 1 - peacock mirror $199.95 (original $249)

The happiest bedroom in all of the land...
Once upon a time a lovely woman's bedroom was photographed and posted on House of Turquoise. A blogger - The Glam Lamb was in awe and had to repost them. The end. :)
Gold poufs - amazing!
Sunburst -- unreal!
Stay tuned for a "Get the Look" version.

Axis Mirror - Love You.
Whatever you do --- DO NOT LOOK AT THE BUSTED CHAIR.... Just look at the beautiful mirror from Z Gallerie. Z Gallerie is not one of my favorite spots, I don't have an actual reason (sorry)... But anyway - this mirror is ultimate glamour!

From the personal file...
This right here pretty much sums up my look. I love this. It's bright and chinois-happy. It's got a gold bamboo coffee table, a tufted settee, a cow hide rug, with an edge with those interesting floor lamps. Amazzzing.

Drama Glam and Grey all over!

This room isn't my personal taste, but I do really like it. That venetian mirror paired with those dramatic lamps with those black shades - so chic. I would looove to see the rest of this space.

A really cool person lives here.
When I see images of people's homes I always wonder who lives there and what do they do the second they walk in the front door and what do they do in their spare time? Do they take their shoes off? (That's what I do!). Or, do they change clothes and put on something comfy, or make a snack As for their spare time... do they work out, read, go to flea markets, see plays? I am being nosey. oh well. For this room.... the couple that lives here must be pretty bad *ss with such great style. OR their interior designer is!

From the Personal File....
I have this actual page ripped out from a magazine from a few years ago, and I still love that glamorous yet masculine feel to the room. It's got the lush bedding, those black shades on the lamp, the tilted gold mirrors. Pretty insanely gorgeous if you ask me!

This room belonging to Ruthie Sommers has been a favorite of mine since it was published in Domino Magazine years ago. I love the mix of jewel tons with lucite and gold, whimsy, boho, and classic all rolled in to one! Love!

This is the KWID I love
I was just reading through some of my older posts, and I got sad when I read the post about Kelly Wearstler's Malibu estate. Here is a living room designed by Wearstler that makes me smile, and realize all over again why she is so talented! Bravo!

I don't like doing this.....
Alright - I don't really like posting personal home pictures up on my blog. I get really shy about it, because its just so personal.... But, I am going out of my comfort zone to see what you guys think of this part of my living room. Remember **IT'S A WORK IN PROGRESS!!**
Obviously the lamps need to be rewired and need shades, and the campaign stands need a high gloss paint job. But.... what do you think of the space? Here's the thing -- to the right of this is a huge bay front window with french windows and my sofa is in front of it. So this wall in the photo is the wall in between where the livig area is and the dining room (to the left). Its really - a random wall that needed attention.
Anyway, let me know what you think. Obviously the space will be filled out way better with the lamp shades. Also, if you have a suggestion of a color for the furniture to be painted - please do tell! I look forward to hearing what you think!
