Alright - I don't really like posting personal home pictures up on my blog. I get really shy about it, because its just so personal.... But, I am going out of my comfort zone to see what you guys think of this part of my living room. Remember **IT'S A WORK IN PROGRESS!!**
Obviously the lamps need to be rewired and need shades, and the campaign stands need a high gloss paint job. But.... what do you think of the space? Here's the thing -- to the right of this is a huge bay front window with french windows and my sofa is in front of it. So this wall in the photo is the wall in between where the livig area is and the dining room (to the left). Its really - a random wall that needed attention.
Anyway, let me know what you think. O
bviously the space will be filled out way better with the lamp shades. Also, if you have a suggestion of a color for the furniture to be painted - please do tell! I look forward to hearing what you think!

Another fantastic desk (those knobs are way cool). I love the mod vibe, and the lucite/acrylic chair and murano glass lamp. The image above really has a lovely fluid, water-like quality to it.
What a great space! I love how that enormous mirror makes this room look way bigger! 
When I see images of people's homes I always wonder who lives there and what do they do the second they walk in the front door and what do they do in their spare time? Do they take their shoes off? (That's what I do!). Or, do they change clothes and put on something comfy, or make a snack As for their spare time... do they work out, read, go to flea markets, see plays? I am being nosey. oh well.
I have this actual page ripped out from a magazine from a few years ago, and I still love that glamorous yet masculine feel to the room. It's got the lush bedding, those black shades on the lamp, the tilted gold mirrors. Pretty insanely gorgeous if you ask me!
The person that owns this room must be one really creative and fun person. I just can't imagine a boring person sitting here and reading emails. 
This room belonging to Ruthie Sommers has been a favorite of mine since it was published in Domino Magazine years ago. I love the mix of jewel tons with lucite and gold, whimsy, boho, and classic all rolled in to one! Love!
