Ivanka Trump's Living Room

This picture may have been around the blog loop already, but I haven't come across it until now.  It's the living room belonging to heiress Ivanka Trump.  It's impressive because this picture was taken in 2007 - yet it is just as current if it were designed  up today.  Foo dogs, a gold pair of cocktail tables, a gorgeous black settee, murano lamp....  It's really gorgeous.  I wonder how it looks now, over 3 years later.

Drama Glam and Grey all over!

This room isn't my personal taste, but I do really like it. That venetian mirror paired with those dramatic lamps with those black shades - so chic. I would looove to see the rest of this space.

Those Dining Room Chairs....

So... I keep seeing these bamboo/wicker dining chairs and they are insane. I have no clue who designs them, but would love to know. So, these are two casual dining areas that I completely fell in love with .
- Both have the exact chairs!
- Both have the turquoise thing going for them!
- Both have some kind of fun whimsical element, whether it be a pair of matching foo dogs, or the enormous dog chilling in the corner
- Both have gorgeous and distinct drapery action!
- Both have a comfy settee set up to replace a couple of normal chairs

Chinoiserie

I never thought I was a fan of Chinoiserie style, but the more and more I look around, and sum up many of the torn magazine clippings - there are many Asian influences surrounding me. I've got my bamboo dining chairs, an elephant garden stool, pagoda mirror..... and my dream list consists of several other Chinois inspired pieces:
1. Gold Bamboo end table (to replace my nesting tables in my living room)
2. Chippendale console table for my foyer
3. some sort of monkey figurine.

Here are some great pieces on the web, and inspiring rooms that just added touches of Chinoiserie. It truly is GLAM.
http://www.1stdibs.com/ foo dogs. A pair of foo dogs fight off evil spirits. This is a no brainer, why wouldn't you have a pair?

Elephant Garden Stool
Kendal Wilkinson design. I love bright walls here, and the Chinoiserie fabric and hand painted mural.

This is Chinoiserie with a twist, room designed for fashion designer Liz Lange by Jonathan Adler. The bamboo Chippendale chairs are a bit Chinois - just not in your face, Asian inspired.

How glam is this mirror? Adore!

Love, Love, Love! The bed, the turquoise pops, the wallpaper. Dreamy.
