Vintage Bamboo furniture is my weakness.

I have 4 weaknesses when it comes to design:
1. Gold/brass
2. Kooky ceramic animals
3. Campaign furniture
4. Vintage bamboo furniture.

Do you have any trend or style that you ALWAYS go back to?

Now how gorgeous is this chocolate, ivory and purple dining room???

And here are a two of my weaknesses in my own home:

1. This is one of my vintage Drexel dining room chairs.

2. Here is my vintage bamboo mirror (from an estate sale) with my campaign furniture.
(PS. The room has now been painted!)

Kooky and Strange, made me look twice!

This room made me stare at it for a good few minutes. You've got the mirrored table, the gold chairs, the crazy black wall paper, the super strange art, and then the pale pink tea set?!? I would love to have breakfast here.... but only once! ;)

True Blue Baby I Love You

What beautifully upholstered chairs. And those blue hydrangeas are so happy. This is a very chic and pulled together look.

From the Personal File.

I am loving this breakfast area. This is a lot more mid-century modern than my usual taste, but I am just sooo drawn to so many different things.
1. My absolute favorite aspect of this room are the walls. How gorgeous is that silver, gold, rose gold color blocking effect it has going on. It is so rich and lavish.
2. That coffee table base is sick. It's so modern, and with that granite counter top, its amazing. When it comes to table bases, the easy thing to do is to throw a glass topper on it, so this is unexpected and fresh.
3. Those chairs! I love how gorgeous that wood looks with the high-gloss coating. The fabric on the seats are perfect, and I am glad that its a solid and not a pattern.

Bravo!!

All About Pink! Breast Cancer Awareness!

Well, isn't this the sweetest dining room you have ever seen. I think this is just precious. I could imagine having brunch at this table! The rug is awesome and I love the use of the pitchers for the floral arrangements.

All About Pink! Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Here is our pink room for the day. Yes, it has been on every blog ever made, but its so pretty, I had to post it. It was featured in House Beautiful and every time I look at it, it refreshes me. I love the wall color, the fresh peonies, the gorgeous credenza, and the fabric hanging in the background. It's a stunning and happy room!

A Color-less Room

This room fascinates me, it's not really my style, but I totally can appreciate it. It's an older picture from the glory days of Domino. It's so clean and crisp - yet still has depth without using an ounce of color. Its got that sleek vibe with the Ghost chairs and the glass table, and the softness coming from the candelabra, the leaning ornate mirror, and the decorative chandelier. The glass skylight really adds to it exposing the brick from the outside.

I could totally imagine this room with glowing candles and a gorgeous spread for a lovely and intimate dinner party. This is a very interesting room that definitely made me look twice.

Those Dining Room Chairs....

So... I keep seeing these bamboo/wicker dining chairs and they are insane. I have no clue who designs them, but would love to know. So, these are two casual dining areas that I completely fell in love with .
- Both have the exact chairs!
- Both have the turquoise thing going for them!
- Both have some kind of fun whimsical element, whether it be a pair of matching foo dogs, or the enormous dog chilling in the corner
- Both have gorgeous and distinct drapery action!
- Both have a comfy settee set up to replace a couple of normal chairs
