Love some good tufting!

That velvet sofa with the tufting and bolsters is absolutely beautiful.
The stools and the artwork are fab too!

Mix in a lime and leather tufting

I think what makes interior design so wonderful are the unexpected surprises.
And... here is the perfect example!

PS - I kinda dig that this bed doesn't have a duvet on it, but a simple, bright blanket.

From the personal file... Gold wallpaper delight!

It's no secret that I have a mega design crush on Massucco Warner Miller - Their talent is insane.  WMW and Tobi Fairley can team up any day and help me design my home.  So - of course, when coming across this divine bedroom - it had to be included in "My Personal File."

It's that dreamy!!

From the Personal File

This is right up my alley.  It's kind of feminine, its classic, yet its got that glamorous feel with a drop of curiosity.  I love drops of interesting.  That large gold sunburst is insane, especially when paired with those chinois pagodas.  Yet - the room feels casual.  I dig it.

PS - ceiling is pretty fab too!

One happy little living room

Love this room and all the amazing details involved! It's so fun and vibrant! It's also not the largest of spaces, so I think they fit a lot of great strong pieces to maximize each inch. And that dog in the corner is way chic.

A Neat Accent Chair

Pretty neat accent chair and sitting spot.
1. Love the tufting and nail head details, as well as the actual shape of the chair.
2. The Madeleine Weinreb rug is pretty fantastic.
3. Love the pop of red with the garden stool.
4. The pharmacy lamp adds an element of antique-y, making it stand out even more, since its not on the funky page.
5. The black bench with the striped pillow
6. The dark wood floors arae beautiful.

Lovely.

Taxidermy that I like...

I am not a huge fan of taxidermy... I don't dislike it, Its just not really my thing. But, in this room, I really like it. It totally works. I do like that it is painted, it takes away from the real-ness of it. The room it self is gorgeous. The wall color with the purple is beautiful. And, I love the sconces, the interesting striped chair, and the casualness of the room.

All About Pink! Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Love this pink twin bed. The headboard is so beautiful, and I love the border on the skirt and around the roman shade. also, the ikat pillows are fun and same with the neat tufted chairs. What a great pink room.
Please do check out www.avonfoundation.org to learn more about the Avon Walks for Breast Cancer. The next walk is in New York October 16th and 17th. If you live in NYC - this would be a fantastic opportunity.

A Beautiful and Serene Bedroom

This bedroom was designed by Shamir Shaw and it is so relaxing. There isn't much fuss to it, but it isn't sparse. It's comfortable and the color palette is very soothing. I love the organic inspired mirror above the headboard. It breaks up the symmetry. Lovely head board too!

From The Personal File....

Love! Love! Love! Love! Love!
This room was designed by Sara Gilbane and I am kinda crazy about it.
1. That wallpaper is stunning, I love that its neutral but has that great pattern in it.
2. The chinois feel from the sitting area with the matching garden stools
3. The white backdrop of the bedding and seating area.
4. The pops of color with the turquoise and deep purple
5. The bay front window

Charming and Divine! Wish I didn't rent my place, I'd love to wallpaper. :(

David Jimenez's Palm Springs Retreat

The New York Times recently did a feature in their Great Homes and Destinations Section on Interior Designer - David Jimenez's Palm Springs retreat. It screams Glamour, Hollywood Regency, Chic, Fun and Happy! I adore it, and it completely reminds me of my best friend, Christine's place. She's going to have a field day when she sees this! How could he not be smiling ;)
Gorgeous Master Bedroom - love that Zebra Hide, and look at the stunning Jere sculpture above the bed. Pretty sick.

Love that table base, chandelier, the flokati-esque rug, the white on white mirror. This is such happy drama.

Looks like KWID was in here!

This is one of my favorite images of the whole place. That mirrored parsons desk which the benches, and the vintage inspired wallpaper. I also love the double pairing of the lamps. I think I may do something like this in my entry.

Wow!!! This is stunning He layers very, very well.
