From the personal file... Commune... Part 3

This will be my final post on Commune (for the time being!), and this home hit the "personal file" spot for me. It actually belongs to one of the founders of Commune, Alonso Romano - I LOVE his style and his ideas with home style. His home was featured in the most recent issue of House Beautiful and you can check out the article HERE.

Romano is an LA guy with a great passion for easy living. He loves Folksy" fabrics and pillows (hence I love that too!) and has a serious interest in mid-century furnishings. I am a huge fan of layering (I feel like I mention it in every post!) and he does an excellent job.

His living room is one of my favorite rooms of all time. I LOVE the floor cushions, the rug, and the over sized mid-cenury chair.

Combine Boho - chic - glamour with a beautiful collection and this is what you get for a mantle. It really is gorgeous and I love that rug and the pops of color through the fabrics against the neutrals.

Dreaming of a Vacay.

I am itching for a vacation.  You know the kind.... Sunshine... Bikini.... An umbrella in my drink.... A beach....

So, on a positive note - I found the spot.  The W Hotel in Vieques Island - Puerto Rico. How unreal does this place look?

Besides this being a dream post, the decor of this place is way cool too.  Its happy, bright, colorful, eclectic and trendy - of course in W style.  There's an amazing fire pit, great pools, fun swing chairs (what else could you need?!) and so much more!

Caitlin Moran Designed Room

How chic is this room, designed by Caitlin Moran? There are about a million elements to this room that I am absolutely crazy about!

For starters, the accessorizing in this room is perfect - from the Moroccan pouf, the gold garden stool, the matching pair of lamps, the blue, red, and hot pink accents.... It's fantastic. I also love the window seat. It's so calming, and not over done. It looks like the perfect place to lounge. It's also quite brilliant that there is a reading light perfectly placed above it.
