I don't know about you... but, I am a white bedding person.  White bedding is just easy!  It's sleek, clean, you won't get sick of it, and its always fresh and current. But... from time to time, I always think how fun it would be to have a bedding coordinated set.  Hello Serena and Lily!

So here are a few that have grabbed my attention today.

An Eclectic Boho Bedroom

Ok... so I'm back at square one for the bedroom... I don't even have an idea of what I would want to do... But I do like the idea of this boho-glam-ethnic room with the happy colors, eclectic accessories, all while looking clean and put together. Intriguing...

Mixing and Matching - Done Right!!!

This seating area was designed by Palmer Weiss, and I love the Boho-casualness of the room, while still feeling rich and luxe. Ilove how this room has 2 fabrics that ompletely don't match yet come together so nicely.

Decorative Trays

I have always liked decorative trays to group things together, I have a gold vintage bamboo tray on my dining table with vintage mid-century glass bottles, and then another bamboo like tray with a stack of books on it, and then another tray keeping my perfumes and make up brushes nicely together in the bathroom. I think they are so useful and decorative. Here are some of my favorites. (Also -- check out the last page of Elle Decor Jan/Feb 2010 issue for some really pretty trays as well).

Two Lovely Rooms

These two rooms are not necessarily my style, but I really, really like them. The colors are beautiful and rich. I love all the different layers of color and fabrics. I could stare at these two rooms for a while. Very intriguing. image via www.hgtv.com

A Modern Take on Romance

How delicately romantic yet forward is this room? I am really appreciating it. It's got the Ghost chair, with the pale cow hide rug, and the ikat inspired pillow, with that organic formed side table. Then add lots of soft white, some ruffle, flow-y curtains and a wreath (okay... not sure if I am loving the wreath) and it all comes together. I am inspired by this mixture.

Also, take note of the hunter green painted door.

Soft Spot for Ikat.... From the Personal File....

This image has been around for a while now, but I just had to post it because I love, love, love it! It has that boho-glam vibe that I am trying to achieve with my own place - and I just adore anything that has an ikat/Moroccan vibe to it. The side by side mirror tables are great too. I just think this space is perfect!

From the Personal File

Just saw this image at Belle Vivir and had to post it and add it to my personal file! I would love a settee. I love how the ikat fabric totally modernized this and freshened it up, and of course the chrome garden stool. Bravo!

From the Personal File

I've decided to do a new weekly posting from "My Personal File" of rooms that I personally love for my own likes and tastes. I have a file on my desktop of all the things that I love and would love to incorporate in some way, shape or form to my own space.

This week's image comes from MMR Interiors. I can't remember where I originally saw it, but I adore so many aspects:
1. The gold coffee table - dead ringer to my style!
2. The ikat pillows.
3. The eclectic, and worldly charm.
4. The citrine and white upholstered side chair. The colors are random yet work perfectly. A true show stopping piece.
5. Speaking of "show stoppers," everything in here is pretty dramatic, stands on its own, yet works harmoniously together.

**There are 2 parts of this room I don't like - the dark painting and the yellow vase sitting above the cabinet bothers me. I think there could be something a little more fun there. I also think that the white chair is not needed and should be taken out. But besides that, adore, adore, adore!

My Personal Issue with Color...

So - I have an issue with color. Its more of an indecisive-ness. I have a fear that I'll pick a color and get sick of it, and not like it anymore. You have no idea how many pillows I have purchased and returned due to being fickle on the color. It's nuts. Right now my living room has a khaki color sofa and love seat (the sofa below is from Restoration Hardware and pretty much identical to what I have).
Then, I have a gold coffee wheat stack coffee table, gold nesting tables, and a teak black credenza for my television.

I also have a Chippendale-bamboo mirror (my camera is acting nutty, so I will have more pics up soon.) So - the basics, I have. But its the next layer that needs work. The color layer!!!
I have a few inspiring ideas....The first one I found in a blog posting from www.lauradaydesign.com/blog that dates back to June 2nd 2006 and I absolutely loved it, and I think this could go well back to my khaki sofa. It also is still very current and has elements that I love very much, like the geometric pattern and the ikat pattern.

- Manuel Canovas Trellis Wallapaper (top right) in Citrine http://www.cowtan.com/. Love the geometric shape to it!
- Osbourne and Little's Lorca Venus Pattern in Soline (purple in center)
- Lee Jofa's Groundworks Coggenshall solid in Lime (bottom left).
- Scalamandres' Colony Collection fabric in Laguna (bottom right) Love this ikat feel. http://www.scalamandre.com/.
- Old World Weavers Le Fluers De Morphe fabric in Daffodil (top left) makes all of these fabrics work so well together http://www.starkcarpet.com/

The next idea, which I think is going to be an easier inspiration/jumping off point is this living room belonging to Emily Walker, and was featured in Canadian House & Home Magazine. I love the basic backdrop of the khaki sofa, and then the tribal fabric hung above it - which announces the accent colors of the room. And of course, any room with a garden stool will definitely make me happy.
