I absolutely love the use of zig zag in this kitchen.

Zig-zag has been so popular, but this really is unique! I dig it!

Slip covers done right

Such a beautiful room!  Really loving the slip covered sofas here.  I think slip covers can be tricky - as they can look a little messy at times.  BUT here - its sleek and clean and the room is fantastic.  

Girly yet sophisticated! Adore!

If I had an X-mas tree this would be THE ornament!

How Missoni is this?  

If I had a Christmas tree it would be based all around this ornament.  Love the bargello feel to it.

NY Elegant Fabrics

I am in New York for work purposes for a few days and of course, I am a little screwed up by the time change... hence the 1 AM blog posting... Anyway, my office is in the heart of the fashion district and there are some great fabric stores over there. So when I took a break today, I took a little stroll and fell in love... with N.Y. Elegant Fabrics. (222 West 40th St. New York 10018 t.212-302-4984)



This fabric above is all thick sequins of all different sizes. I want this for my bedroom as a pillow, but at $200 a yard - it's really out of my price range. BUT I sure fell in love.

Then above was this amazing wool fabric with gold threading throughout, and this picture doesn't give it justice.
There also was a large selection of Missoni fabrics. They all were priced in the $60-70 per yard range - which I didn't think seemed that crazy.

The happiest bedroom I have ever seen

How happy is this room. I love it!! the wallpaper... the zig zag chair and the zig zag bed skirt to match. I can't imagine ever being upset in this room. Isn't it amazing how decor effect moods. Happy! Cheery!

My new pillows!!

FINALLY... I have committed to a color and pillows for my living room!! This is a big moment - as its only taken a year and three months... oh and over a dozen of ideas later!! I got 2 of them from the Trina Turk residential store last weekend (with a merchandise credit from pillows I returned about six months ago). The fabric is Schumacher and I heart them.

Happy Young Fun Bedroom

I am helping a blog reader with her bedroom and having road blocks. So, I have been on the hunt for perfect bedroom ideas for a really cool 17 year old girl with lots of style. I saw this... and just thought it was darling. Love the easy bedding, the set up of accessories on the dresser, the pom pom-ed pillows, the zig zags, and the wicker furniture. This screams happy! It's not really the look I was going for, but it made me smile!

MMMMore MMMMissoni - throw blankets

I am a big fan of Missoni on the fashion front as well as the home front. I would love to have a really cool neutral color palette and then BAM! Missoni blanket all up in there. I just did a google search for "Missoni throw blanket" and these are the beauties that came up. In the words of Rachel Zoe, "I die!"
