Moroccan Wedding Blanket - LOVE

Add Image
A few years ago my best friend, Christine turned me on to the Moroccan Wedding Blanket - and I've been drawn to them ever since.
How glam are these pair of blankets?

Amazing kids room - and these would be more divine in my bedroom.
(LOL - or Christines!)

From the personal file...Moroccan love

I just love this Moroccan wedding blanket inspired pouf from ABCHome.  Isn't it fantastic?  I am such a sucker for that boho-glam thing.  Brilliant.

Loving the Moroccan Style

This blog definitely shows my love for that boho glam vibe. So of course.... when coming across the fantastic website, From Morocco With Love, of course I had to share it with you. Absolutely darling Moroccon Wedding Blanket inspired pillows. Well priced too at $55 each.

Of course Moroccan wedding blankets are expensive... the top one is $750, and the one below is $550, but then again - it is so much hand work. Gorgeous.

Moroccan Poufs

That boho-glam/Moroccan vibe screams Spring time to me and I love that! I found an amazing resource for some Moroccan poufs and I am really considering grabbing 2 of them for my living room. As much as I love the John Derian leather poufs -- they really aren't in my budget....

Mixing and Matching - Done Right!!!

This seating area was designed by Palmer Weiss, and I love the Boho-casualness of the room, while still feeling rich and luxe. Ilove how this room has 2 fabrics that ompletely don't match yet come together so nicely.

A truly creative seating area

Isn't this such a great seating area? I could sit in this spot completely inspired by the vintage framed Vogue covers and read magazines for hours and hours, or sit with my laptop and a cup of coffee and blog away. I just love the French inspired chairs, the Moroccan side table and the bargello pillow.

All About Pink! Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

What a fun and retro-cool bedroom with a hit of Moroccan! The shape of the headboard is so fun and interesting and the pair of matching pink lamps are fantastic!

Remember to save your Yoplait lids! For each lid saved and mailed in gives a needing person a free mammogram.

Moroccan Side Tables

As my personal style is a hybrid of styles, an eclectic look - I do really like how I've been seeing a lot of Moroccan side tables around lately. They act as functional art. They can be found at all price points, from the Horchow all the way to Craigslist and Ebay. You just gotta look. Let me know if you have a great one, I'd love to post it.

A Glorious Outdoor Room

I don't know how this could possibly be a real outdoor room without the majority of the pieces being damaged from weather, but you gotta admit, its pretty amazing! I would love to be here for a Labor Day party with lots of yummy cocktails and great music. Or better yet, maybe just move this room to the indoors so it doesn't get destroyed.

Trollsta at Ikea

The Trollsta tray spindle table at Ikea. I love this piece for a few reasons:
1. I love that Ikea has added an element of whimsy fun and not so modern/straight-edge
2. The price is great - $99.99
3. Its got the cool Moroccan feel to it.
4. It doesn't look cheap (I haven't seen it in person though)

What do you think? Apartment Therapy thinks it may be a little overdone - I personally think it fantastic.

From the Personal File...

This living room is from Canadian House and Home. It's very boho glam, which is completely my style - the Moroccan touches, mixed with the clean lines of the console and the dramatic pendant lighting. The rug is also beautiful. Also, the pillows add a touch of color with the burnt purple and the mirrored circles. I really appreciate the combination of casualness with a punch of glamour. Lovely!

Pom Pom Trim

I know I have blogged several times about pom pom details, but I truly can't get enough of it! It has become a silly obsession of mine. Here are some awesome ones I found at Wisteria and they are all on sale! These pillows would be perfect for decor in a Moraccan inspired room. They are bright, happy and fun!

PB Teen

Now, I don't hate Pottery Barn. I don't hate it at all. I just prefer mom & pop shops, vintage shops, flea markets, and antique malls to this big-box store. But I must give credit where credit is due. PB Teen is fantastic. It is a bit more youthful, not so preppy, and definitely whimsy. I think it's big-sister store needs to take a few notes.

Here are my top 10 faves from their website. All items can be found at www.pbteen.com

Geometric Lamp Base (shade sold separately).
Portico Bedside Table. I love this table, It's also available in white and really is on-point with the Moroccan inspired trend. Would love this in a living room to add a zip of color.

Circolo Nesting tables. How amazing are these geometric nesting tables? Love, love love these. I would love the white ones on either side of a bedroom where the walls were painted a happy turquoise and had clean white bedding with a multi-colored floral accent fabric. Chic and very Palm Springs!

Circolo Bed (has trundle too)

Scalloped Mirror. This would be a pretty entry mirror.

Minnie Stool

Flokati rug

Style-It Desk System. Great looking desk.

Floret Duvet Cover and Sham

Pom Pom Organic Throws. Really love these, I posted similar

Pom Pom Organic Throw. Back in June I posted similar throws from Viva Terra. http://theglamlamb.blogspot.com/2009/06/pom-poms.html These are just different colors and a little bit cheaper. I love them!

KoKo Company

KoKo Company specializes in making fun, festive, and colorful pillows, duvet covers and indoor/outdoor rugs. They tend to have extremely vibrant colors, a Moroccan feel, and a Summer vibe. Very laid back. There prices are reasonable, and when you want to test color, and not completely commit - KoKo Company has great offerings.

This rug would be so cute in a little girl's bedroom - it comes in other color-ways as well. These rugs are easy to clean too. All you have to do is spray them down with a hose.
