14 Days of Romance: A Sweet Treat: Day 6

It's definitely not Valentine's Day without Sweets.  

Chocolate Covered Strawberries with Pretzels and Almonds.... EASY!!! EASY!!!

Ingredients

• 1 cup pretzel rods
• 1 cup almonds
• 3 (4-ounce) bars semisweet chocolate, melted (recommended: Valrhona chocolate)
• 8 long-stemmed strawberries

Directions

Chop pretzels and nuts and place in 2 separate bowls. Chop chocolate.

In a double boiler, melt chocolate until smooth and velvety.

Dip strawberries in chocolate and then in pretzels or nuts.

Place covered strawberries on a 1/2 sheet tray lined with waxed paper. Allow to set at room temperature and serve

A pretty mix of styles

Marcia Cross's Trailer

You won't believe this, but these images below are from Marcia Cross's trailer on the set of Desperate Housewives. It's pretty amazing. Designer, David Brian Sanders took the basic 12 x 30 foot space and turned it into a lavish retreat for the star to enjoy during breaks. The majority of the furnishings come from Grace Home in Brentwood.

I wonder what Eva Longoria's trailer looks like?

hot pink

I have a new love - and it's HOT PINK!!! Ever since the July issue of House Beautiful came out with that cover with the hot pink leather chairs, and the ikat pattern o match with the gold bamboo table, I have been on a non-stop hunt for the color.

What I love about it, is that it isn't as girly as you would expect, is got real punch and character, and its bold. In a way though - its kind of a bold neutral (does this make sense?!) as you can pair it so easily and it naturally matches because it doesn't really match.
Love how these chairs' fabrics go together, but don't necessarily match.

Adore! Love the x bench! Also, pink and chocolate always work.

Love the Moroccan vibe here with he comfy blankets and poufs. The bone, pink mirror is pretty amazing.

I love this kitchen counter-scape! The chairs with the gorgeous marble top, and then stunning chandelier. FYI - you can find these chandeliers at every flea market across America. They are inexpensive, BUT need a serious spray paint job. High-gloss white, or a fun high-gloss color would be insane.

This entry way is not normal. The hot pink against the chocolate walls are stunning, and then lay in that gold accents and leopard print pillows. Sick.

Can you get any more Palm Springs than this. Paging Lilly Pulitzer.

This room belongs to Apple - Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter. Fun!

From Country Home magazine. There are a lot of things I like here. I just looooove that pink fabric. Then there is that insane marble top tulip table with the french-antique side chair with the black and white tile. This room is chic. Bravo!
