Pinterest: My favorite pins of the week!!

I don't know about you, but I am a HUGE Pinterest fan.

Here are my favorite 10 pins of the week (in no specific order).

What a great way to store your long, dangling necklaces so that they won't tangle and you can easily find them.  Image via Country Living

I don't have an iphone (yet) - I just recently crossed over and got a Macbook pro - but I sooo love this iphone case.  Awesome.  Available on Etsy

From the personal file - So visually stimulating.

Isn't this wall just unreal?
I am in love with the floral wall art, the floral arrangement, the lamp and the credenza.
It all goes together perfect!
I hate to be negative - but the fuller view of the room doesn't look as strong as this accented wall....
But all good - this first pic, is unbelievable.

Hope you enjoy it too!

Honey, I'm Home.....!!

Well isn't this just a gorgeous way to enter your home.  This to me is stunning.  It also transitions very well each season.  You can just switch out the floral arrangement according to the season, and then lose the fur in the Spring and summer months and hang a bikini... a beach towel... whatever makes you smile.

Have a Cheery Day!

There are very few things that I like more than flowers in a window sill.
Isn't this image divine?  I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Dinner Party == the flowers/centerpieces.

I am thrilled!! My first dinner party went off without a hitch! Every detail was perfect, no catastrophies in the kitchen (food was pretty good), the wine was great, and the company was FANTASTIC. I have the BEST GIRLFRIENDS in the entire world. It was definitely the perfect girls night!

This is going to take a few posts - so I am going to start with the centerpieces. I bought 3 separate hydrangeas, some weird wax flower, Bells of Ireland, white Tulips, and a tiny bit of green leaf sprigs.

I am a HUGE fan of milk glass - so I used this vintage container for the center floral arrangement. It has the perfect size opening. I also didn't want anything too tall that you couldn't see your guests around the table.

If you look closely below, you will see there is scotch tape on the mouth of the vase. I made a grid to keep the flowers in place.
Each hydrangea was like its own little bouquet. I took one hydrangea and carefully placed/poked the wax flowers through the branches of the hydrangea.
Then - with more scotch tape, I taped all of the stems together so they would stay put.

I did this three times, and then placed each bouquet within the grids of the vase. It packs it in tight.

I then did 2 similar bouquets in blue vintage candy jars, using the rest of the Bells of Ireland, the greens, and white tulips.
And below is the final table! What do you think!?
Budget friendly tip: For the table cloth - I used a yard and a half of scrap vintage fabric that I got at the Long Beach Flea Market. It cost $7. If you were to go Bed Bath and Beyond or a department store for a tablecloth, it would cost more and it wouldn't be as original.
The napkins came from World Market -- they have every color in the rainbow! I also didn't have napkin rings (and my folding of napkins needs improvement) so I used gold holiday ribbon and neatly tied them.

Two-toned floral arrangements

Right now my mind is really focused on my dinner party next weekend. I am still working the kinks out in the menu and decided what to serve, so in the mean time I've been looking at floral arrangements, settings etc.... I love this ombre effect, or the two toned look.

A bright and happy living room

I love bright, happy and quirky rooms. I truly think that every room needs something unexpected.
1. like the accent chair (unexpected)
2. the hydrangea flowers (2 bouquets look awesome here - wouldn't have thought of that - note to self)
3. the printed sofas
4. the multiple prints of fabric.

A Cheer-y place to dine!

This room was designed by Kim Zimmerman and its so happy, how can you not smile here and enjoy some yummy cupcakes and coffee ;)!?!? Well at least that's what I would do if I was a guest at this table. I am in 100% LOVE with those chairs with that fun plaid fabric.

From the Personal File....

I have this actual page ripped out from a magazine from a few years ago, and I still love that glamorous yet masculine feel to the room. It's got the lush bedding, those black shades on the lamp, the tilted gold mirrors. Pretty insanely gorgeous if you ask me!

True Blue Baby I Love You

What beautifully upholstered chairs. And those blue hydrangeas are so happy. This is a very chic and pulled together look.

Branch-y floral arrangements

Love this look of branches thrown in a large vase... Especially in a room with tall ceilings!! Good stuff and so simple to put together on your own! Gotta love that.

These aren't real!

So, I've been cruising through the Diane James blog for the past several minutes, and then came across this gorgeous bouquet. Can you believe these are artificial?! Anyway -- I kinda need this. I definitely should not be allowed to own real plants - so DJ is right up my alley. www.dianejameshome.com

Two Country Vibe Kitchens

Aren't these two kitchens sweet and romantic? Straight out a country farm house. The first one is a little more country than I personally would like. But all of those buckets of hydrangeas are just gorgeous. And I really like the flooring in that kitchen.
The second one though I really like. I love that farm style sink with the hints of pink. It has a feminine vibe that is clean. I am a big fan.
