Vintage lighting - A definite MUST!

I am a HUGE FAN of vintage lighting. I think its such a better way to go. It may take a little more effort - but the results are unreal!! The quality is insane and so much more special. You may need to re-wire and do a bit of cleaning - But, so worth it.
Ebay... Etsy... Craigslist have so many great options - its crazy!!

Here are a few things from my home, as well as a few things I've found along the way.

Do you have any vintage lighting pieces in your home?
This lamp is in my living room. BIG fan of the wheat stack thing. I found this lamp at a vintage furniture shop in Los Feliz on a shopping trip with my best friend, Christine. P.S. If you are ever in the Los Angeles area, you really should take a shopping trip to Los Feliz - they have awesome vintage furniture stores all within a 10 block radius scattered about on one street. Amazing selection and amazing prices!
This swag chandelier hangs in my bedroom. I got it at a junk shop in Crenshaw -- the owner of the shop had no idea how cool it was and was giving it away for $30. It took 2 days to clean all the dust - but it's so Jere. I just love it!

These lamps have been up on my blog a few times, but yes - vintage, or actually they could possibly be antique. These belonged to my grandmother. They were in her attic and last year she mailed them to me for my birthday. I re-wired them and they are my absolute favorite pieces in my home.

via Ebay - HERE. This would be awesome spray painted.

PB Teen for fun lighting!

PB Teen (Pottery Barn) has been in my good graces lately.
Not going to lie.... I like it way better than the regular Pottery Barn.

Look how fabulous these two hanging lights are.
Whimsy, beautiful, delicate, current with trend, and budget friendly.   A great combination.

Want a little Adler?

Jonathan Adler makes me happy.  I was recently in his Chicago store with my boyfriend and we had so much fun just looking at EVERYTHING!  I wanted to buy myself a little present, but got so overwhelmed, I left empty handed. :(

BUT - this gorgeous lamp is now on sale at HSN - and it's fantastic!  Please do get it!
And then tell me how much you love it!

Great Craigslist Find.

Lately I have been disappointed with the LA Craigslist scene.  Because I have really had some amazing scores in the past!  BUT - tonight I cam across this mid-century modern, chrome, standing lamp and have put my faith back in the good CL.  The link is below.
Southern Cali people: Get this off Craigslist - HERE's the link $99

Light your life up with gold

How gorgeous are these lamp shades with the inside lined with gold?!
It makes the entire room glow and shine.
I first came across this over at Mr. Goodwill Hunting and thought it was stunning.

So serene and calm.

First - I love that light fixture.  Is that wicker painted gold?  I can't tell.
Anyway -- super serene and chill.

From the personal style....

This right here is the epitome of my style.  It's a total mix of straight lines and classic/traditional curves.  Then, it combines chinoiserie, amazing upholstery, bits of turquoise,  and brilliant show stopper pieces.

Empire Chandelier

First it started with this chandelier below..... The Empire Chandelier designed by Marjorie Skouras.
And then after a seriously successful run with the pale turquoise version - more colors came out! I am totally jocking the hot pink, black, and white versions below. There are additional color ways on the website at Dennis Miller.

They are absolutely stunning! Everytime I see a room with the Empire Chandelier, I automatically fall in love.

Matchy Matchy... Pairs of Lamps

I love pairs of lamps. I feel like they act as anchors. I love matching lamps in bedrooms, or on consoles - they just make sense and pull it all together. Here are some of my favorites.... Love the whole green painted furniture with the pair of lamps and the glass bottles. So sweet and pretty.

Image via Jonathan Adler. You've got a pair of x-benches and a pair of lamps and a pair of sofas - usually I am not a fan of this many pairs 0 but it all works here!
